The very business of Business is in itself quite a title. It’s literally the physical and mental actions we put into providing something that generally pays us back some kind of reward. To earn this reward we have to make or sell something for a price much higher than we paid someone for the products or services in the first place. The word business also covers the whole of the operaton – from the first designing of goods and test runs of the making process; the manufacturing of the finally approved and tested product; the advertising, promotion of and test runs with the customer; the selling and shipping of the product and any helpful accessories plus any after sales service such as installation, commissioning and service contracts for year on year support.
Of course what starts out as a small cottage industry to bring home the bacon in a small but controlled way can and does often turn into overnight sucesses before the staff are quite ready.
