Mobiles in Kandahar
Language learning using mobile phones. We are going to develop a support programme using mobile technologies and a phone to web application. The students in Kandahar will improve their English language skills while the UK students will develop their language structure and literacy skills in a cross-phase and curricular context. This is a student driven, peer to peer initiative.

Many Afghan schools have thousands of students and operate a three shift system of attendance. Using appropriate mobile learning technology can provide an effective supplement to their school input. This also engages with the concept of 24/7 learning and is transferable to many areas of educational needs. Mobile learning technology also addresses learning at home issues and can be used to support learning in the community.
